Demolition
Full and partial demolition of residential, commercial and industrial structures, planned around neighbours, traffic and your program.
Get a quoteA building coming down is the loudest part of the job and the one neighbours remember. We plan it so it is also the least eventful: services cut, hazards gone, the sequence worked out before a machine starts, and the material sorted as it comes down rather than dumped in one pile.
What's included
Full demolition
Houses, apartment blocks, warehouses and commercial buildings taken down to ground level, with slabs and footings removed where required.
Partial demolition
Selected walls, floors, wings or structures removed while the rest of the building stays standing and protected.
Façade retention
The structure behind a retained façade demolished in stages while the façade is propped and protected.
Slab and footing removal
Concrete slabs, footings and hardstand broken out and removed so the excavation can start clean.
Materials recovery
Concrete, brick, steel and timber separated on site so as much as possible goes to recycling rather than landfill.
Site protection
Hoarding, fencing, dust suppression and traffic control set up for the street, the neighbours and the public.
Taken down in sequence, not in one go.
How we run it
Every demolition job follows the same order, so nothing is missed and the next trade gets a site they can start on.
- 01
Survey and plan
We inspect the structure, review any hazardous materials survey and write a demolition work plan covering method, sequence, plant and exclusion zones.
- 02
Disconnect and make safe
Electricity, gas, water and telecommunications disconnected. Hoarding, fencing and traffic control in place before work starts.
- 03
Strip first
Soft strip and any asbestos removal completed and cleared before the structure is touched.
- 04
Demolish and sort
The structure is brought down in sequence with excavators and attachments sized to the job, and materials are sorted as they come down.
- 05
Clear the site
Rubble, slabs and footings removed, waste dockets kept, and the site left level and ready for excavation or the builder.
Common questions
Do you handle asbestos before demolition?
Yes. Asbestos and other hazardous materials are removed and cleared before demolition starts, so one contractor covers both.
Can you demolish part of a building and leave the rest?
Yes. Partial demolition and façade retention are planned so the remaining structure is protected and propped where needed.
What happens to the materials?
Concrete, brick, steel and timber are separated on site for recycling where they can be. The rest is classified and taken to licensed facilities.
